Horticultural Society Plans Competition at Braybrook Show

The Horticultural Society announces a knitted bed jacket competition open to all Braybrook residents. Entries will be received at the Supper Room Wednesday at 8 pm. Mr RC Stillman will lecture on Rose Planting and Pruning.

Sunshine man fined for one headlight on busy street

Arthur Dumbrell of Graham Street Sunshine was stopped by Constable Power on May 21 at 10 80 pm for driving with one working headlamp. He claimed long driving history and tried to activate the light. a 5 shilling fine was imposed. A second driver, Stanley Kestle of Malvern, faced similar charges but the case was withdrawn after a recent accident came to light.

The Deer Park Odd Fellows held an officer installation on Tuesday with many visitors. Bro Fergus Gray of Albion Lodge conducted the ceremony.
