Empire Day at State School Fans Interest and Clubs
Empire Day was celebrated at the State School with speeches by Drs Stenson Stevens and Dickson, a piano medley led by Mrs Stevens, and miniature Union Jacks donated by Dr Stenson. Sweets and apples were handed to children as they left, while attendance by parents was lighter than expected given the fine weather.
