Building Up Young Australia Work of Baby Health Centre
The Sunshine Baby Health Centre led by Sister L Hancock and funded by local ladies assists young mothers in town. Relocated from the Town Hall stairs to a renovated rear library room via a £60 donation offer, with about £20 spent on furniture and £30-£40 on linoleum. The centre reports its value through Sister Hancock to the council and advocates ongoing support despite little public assistance, relying on subscriptions, donations, and entertainments. H V McKay staff donate profits from annual balls to the centre.
