Single Men Revolt Over Sustenance at District Meeting
At a district unemployed meeting on Tuesday evening the single men voted a resolution to refuse sustenance work. Two weeks earlier single men were urged to work for sustenance but many refused, while payments are 6 shillings a fortnight or cash for actual work. Married men have not been consulted.
