Younger Set News Dance And Debutante Ball Announced
A monthly dance is planned at Shire Hall tomorrow night with the 6th heat of the Tanquette competition and novelties. A general meeting is set for July 19 at 7 pm. A Crazy Whist night is planned for July 31 at Mrs D J Baker’s home. The No 1 Girls basketball team will supply supper. The Set’s 3rd Annual Debutante Ball is on August 6 with dancing from 8:40 to 2:00. Debutante practice is Monday at 7 pm.

The Crew attends a Rangers dance at Mentone on Saturday the 17th with a 6.26 p.m. Sunshine departure. A weekend camp for 24th-25th July at Kororoit Creek begins the camping season. A Court of Honour sits 3.15 p.m. Friday the 14th after Troon meeting. Lex Giay welcomed after audition for National Theatre Movement, set for Opera season rehearsals. Whist evening slated for 24th July at Scout Hall, Martin St.

Second Sunshine Group Cub Pack Plans Pound Night Visits Troop
The 2nd Sunshine Group Cub Pack will visit the Troop on Friday the 6th for a combined evening dubbed a pound night with expected unusual attendance. Four cubs will be received into the Troop during the evening. At the latest Court of Honour new appointments were made including John Burnell Troop Service Don Hunter Patrol Leader Gavin Fisher Patrol Second. A new Patrol Competition has started with re arranged patrols. The Group strength totals four including scouters and recruits. A card evening with supper will be held at St Marks Hall at 8 p.m. on Tuesday the 20th to raise funds for the Group. The Group Committee is organizing the event. Jamboree participation efforts continue on Tuesday nights alongside Friday meetings.
