Sunshine man charged over unlicensed hired car use
At Sunshine court Henry Beachley of 78 Benja Street Sunshine faced Melbourne City Council charges for plying for hire with an unregistered vehicle and carrying five passengers without a MCC licence. Inspector Lynan testified seeing Beachley near Sunshine railway station on June 6 with the car marked Football. A man named Freeman claimed to have hired the car but Beachley insisted Freeman was the hirer. The court heard Beachley did not hold a valid MCC driver’s licence and the vehicle was not MCC licensed. The case adjourned as evidence questioned the hire arrangement.
