Man Charged For Driving Dray Without Light
Edward George Russell 31 Hertford Road Sunshine faced a charge of driving a horse and dray without a light at 5 55 pm on June 23. The dray was seen at railway gates with no light. Evidence showed the reins were in his hands and the father claimed ownership. The charge was amended to refer to the father and Russell was fined.

A Melbourne bench dismissed charges after finding insufficient evidence of obstruction against three defendants McArdle Petherick and Payne who intervened during Constable Powers arrest of Scanlon for drunkenness.
