Style and Quality Millinery presents silk frocks and matching hats for summer wear. Highlights include light fashionable dresses for children and a curated range of millinery to complete warm season outfits. Shop windows showcase bright fabrics, graceful silhouettes, and accessory sets.
A Sunshine Advocate reader asks the editor if the council is aware of street expansion toward the railway and a nearby Catholic church. He urges prioritizing durable footpaths for the town of Sunshine west of Hampshire Road, criticizing delays, and suggesting a loan if water funds fall short.
A fragment notes Chalview Boot Shop located on Hampshire Road beside the Bank of New South Wales. It mentions Alcock's Best Billiard Tables and a focus on comfort. No further context or events are provided in the readable text.
The discussion questions the location of the Newmarket Yards, doubting Broadmeadows as the site and suggesting a north of Sunshine location, possibly between St Albans and Sunshine or just beyond the 13 mile radius. Arguments focus on railway lines, noting Bendigo as the only double line into the country and new lines feeding the Bendigo system.
The Essendon newspaper notes the Bend of the Maribyrnong River on the Essendon side as a mass inquiry site for a large area suitable for a stud farm. Shifting yards to that site would provoke strong opposition. Sunshine remains aloof with a distinct stance of indifference.
