St Albans Monthly Meeting and Carnival Dates
Members are reminded of the monthly meeting to be held on Tuesday next. Cry H Euston will report council activities. The Annual Carnival and Sports Meeting is set for Saturday March 25 after several attempts to fix a date. Dr J Eddie hosts an open meeting Thursday at 8 00 PM. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Searle on the birth of a daughter. The 1st St Albans Boy Scouts meet February 20 at Mechanics Institute to finalize arrangements for the coming Scout 2nd Birthday.

Sunshine Old Boys Picnic Transport Notice
Members must notify the secretary by Monday 20th of the number needing transport to the Werribee picnic on Sunday February 26th. A bus leaves Shorten's corner Albion at 4:45 a.m. and another from Sunshine Post Office at 10 a.m. A full sports program and Sunshine District Band are arranged.

Scout Week Activities Planned in Sunshine District
Scout Week runs Feb 18 to Feb 25 with a Scouts Own Service in Sunshine Gardens Sunday at 3 pm. A procession from the Post Office at 2 30 pm includes Brownies and Cubs at Anderson Rd railway crossing. A hospital grounds cleanup is organized as a good deed day.

Sunshine Scouts Hall Appeal Prompts Whist Nights
Parents and friends of the Boy Scouts appeal to restore the Sunshine Scout Hall damaged during the war. The Sunshine Scouts Parents Committee seeks help to provide a proper meeting place for training and citizenship. A small contribution can be given at Whist Card Nights held every second Saturday, next on February 19.

Sunday School Barbecue Brings Joy to North Sunshine
North Sunshine Sunday School committee held a barbecue last Saturday for children and parents. Dr. Beachley and Dr. Barclay hosted visitors, with Beachley winning the hockey tournament. Mr. Rob Bell presides over the committee as the church group works for local kids.
