Maidstone Progress Association meets at local hall
The Maidstone Progress Association held its February meeting with strong attendance led by Shire President Dr Dempster and Dr W Pridham. Reports covered school warning signs from the Royal Automobile Club, proposed railways serving Keilor Hulla and Glenroy Albion lines, a bus service study between Ballarat Road and Sunshine, and a by law case on building allotments. Concerns included street name signs, dog tax enforcement, footpath costs, water supply for Carlisle and Studley Streets, and requests for a village garbage service and a residential police presence.
