Ejectment Granted by Consent in Sunshine Court

Defendant admits stout theft at CLANS factory Deer Park
James Alan Smith 45 of McBryde Street Fawkner faced court admitting theft of 150 feet of scantling valued at £8 15s and a roll of feather cloth valued at £10. He said timber came from Hansen and Yuncken where he was employed and the feather cloth from Nobels factory. He claimed the timber was leftover and foreman knew of removal. He offered to post £5 bond per charge and the case was adjourned to May 2.

Sunshine veteran Mr Richards celebrates triplet great great grandchildren

Man in Bunshine Faces Theft Charge Over Hostel Items
John Bryce Ingles of 1 Gunnedah Street Bunshine was charged with stealing seven sheets two brown towels seven spoons three knives four food trays and one ash tray valued about £4. Evidence showed items matched those issued by the Commonwealth Hostel in Brooklyn. Ingles admitted taking sheets and towels and swapping them with his own. He said he arrived from Scotland two years ago and stayed at the hostel until October 1953. The case will resume on 2 May after a plea or further steps.
