The
Tottenham Progress Association Notes Local Improvements
At the latest meeting the Tottenham Progress Association reported signs of positive action to overcome local disabilities. Sredna St. residents were elated by footpath work and the temporary road in Gwelo St. Indwe St. group gravel footpaths extend east and west but some northern and southern streets lack footpaths. Stormwater drain pits cause anxiety with one collapse and smashed lids due to weak construction and heavy traffic. Gutters need spraying and fire hazards require cooperation with owners burning off. A footpath is needed between Roberts St. and Cal St. along Sunshine Rel where roads are narrow and dangerous. The hall committee has plans and awaits a building quotation. Picnic organizers should contact Mr. Weekes of Fontein Street. Season’s compliments were extended to members and councillors.
