Christmas puddings for the State Relief drive
A letter to the editor urges housewives to bake extra Christmas puddings for Victoria’s needy as part of the State Relief Committee drive. Recipes using bread, suet, dried fruit and spice are provided for three puddings, with cloth wrapping and boiling instructions, plus a plea to donate via Melbourne rail depots or the city’s stations.
