Heavy fines for wandering stock in St Albans
At Sunshine Court of Petty Sessions two Maltese men, Paul Spitari and Sam Farrugia, were heavily fined for letting cattle wander. A ranger seized 26 cattle at 6.30 am on November 9 in Percy street and Sunshine road. Spitari claimed them. Farrugia faced charges for 24 cows grazing in a prohibited area on October 24 and for letting the same cattle wander at 4:15 am, with fines totaling £9 10s. The offences occurred on vacant land near Wright Street beside the MMBW pumping station.
