Poultry Breeders Hold Weekly Show and Talk
Wednesday night featured a monthly meeting of the local poultry association with a popular show judged by Mr. Taylor. Winners included White Leghorn cockers, White Leghorn hens, and Black Orpingtons. Taylor gave tips on judging heads, heart girth, back arch, and breeding potential, noting perches may affect crooked breast bones and suggesting a Sydney method to reduce the defect. The gathering also discussed a Garden Vale show, a Brighton council candidacy, and reported a total profit of 6/7/7 from the entertainment.
