Arthur Brent hates Ronald Manton since school days when Ronald outshines him. The feud grows as both advance in engineering firm with Arthur failing to rise and vowing murder. Years later Arthur returns from Ireland married, transformed by love and pride.
Arthur plots to kill Ronald Manton after discovering his wife Eileen's affair. He disables Ronald’s car steering then lures him toward a cliff. A moonlit drive ends with a fatal crash and a note from Eileen confessing the ruse while Arthur laughs in the garage.
Saturday saw the final qualifying rounds determining the top eight in each section to enter match play for the club championship. A B Grade championship will run under the same format for players who did not qualify, with results of the two rounds listed.
