He served as an office-bearer of Sunshine Progress Association and supported navvies in the district. He was a member of the Irish National Foresters and a church worker at Our Lady's Sunshine. Requiem Mass was held at Our Lady's Church with Father Vennessy, burial at Melbourne General Cemetery. Pallbearers named.
