Keilor Shire to Levy Water Rate in Keilor St Albans Area
The Shire of Keilor Council met on April 6 1940 and resolved to impose a water rate of twenty one pence per pound on rateable properties in the Keilor and St Albans water areas. The minimum rate is forty shillings, with exceptions for unbuilt land, and the charge becomes due December 10 each year. A follow up meeting May 4 1940 will consider confirming the order.

The Shire of Braybrook proposes a loan of £6500 secured by debentures under Local Government Acts. Interest up to 4 4/6 percent, term twenty years, repaid in forty semiannual installments from January 1 and July 1 each year at the National Bank Sunshine. Funds will finance road and drainage works and land purchase with plans available at Shire Offices.
