The season opens with Sunshine United losing to Geelong Harevests 2 1 at Geelong. Sunshine Park hosts the opening match with Rangers and a season pennant prize for Dr G. A social and ticketed events planned for April 24. Under 19 and under 17 fixtures noted, memberships due, and Sunshine Station muster for travel.
Sunshine City Soccer Club drew an away opener against Box Hill for the 1951 season with final team selections to be made before kickoff. The reserve team plays Box Hill at Sunshine Park at 2:45 pm, players must attend, and junior matches are scheduled at Sunshine Park with specified meet times and venues.
