Motor Cycling Club Meeting Ends With Mixed Fortunes
The Sports meeting fell short of hopes due to late Red Cross posters arriving the day before. Red Cross will benefit by 4 pounds 7 shillings 6 pence from riders and spectators. Ken Dobson won the trophy and resigned to join a closer club. Alan Tanis resigned as treasurer. B Jordan elected in his place. Next meeting set for Monday 13 April in the town hall middle side room.

Baseball notes show improving form ahead of April games
Last weekend two good practice matches were held and players are running into form for the first games starting April 18. Junior players are prominent in the practices. No practice this week due to Easter holidays. Two practice matches against Newport Baseball Club are hoped for next Saturday. Members should watch next week’s edition for details.

No Money For St. Albans Drainage
Financial restrictions delay the main drain works at St Albans and water mains projects in Cranbourne Stanford Camperdown Avenues and other North Sunshine streets. The MMBW has approved the open earth drain excavation and a 42 inch pipe section but funds are unavailable until the new financial year. Sunshine Council awaits the next budget to proceed.
