A Digger party at the Soldiers Club learned that A McLeod of Kamarooka Street faced a dangerous stomach hemorrhage requiring an urgent blood transfusion. Seven volunteers went to the hospital. four were suitable, with A Lindsay first tested, then Peter Rennie and Bob Hislop assisting. The patient remained serious, thanking Sunshine companions for readiness to help, and donors were advised not to donate again for at least three months.
