Manitoba minister tours rising Shoal Lakes as flood fears grow
Manitoba Agriculture Minister Stan Struthers toured the Shoal Lakes on May 5 to see impact on farms and homes. Officials showed lake levels May 4 at North 860.41 feet East 860.83 feet West 860.72 feet, up modestly from May 2, with spill risk to Grassmere Creek limited by watershed boundaries. Five properties near the lake face flood protection or loss of access concerns as the SLFLA met on May 3.
