The Cricket Secretary and Poultry Club committee report a successful two day event at Brett's Hall with around 450 entries. Orpingtons and buffs drew top honors with G C Warner winning best Orpington and a gold medal. Judges included E Butcher J Maude and J Hemsworth.

The Rockdale Rifle Club held its second June quarter shoot at Handwick range last Saturday with high scores. Fourteen shooters posted top scores including G. E. Dickens and Jas. Piper at 400 yards with Piper winning the tournament final 35 to 30 over T. Marsden.
