Cronulla residents sought dressing sheds at The Oaks shore arguing rocks must be cleared for a safe bath site. The Council refused after warnings of accidents and bad press, noting the area unsuitable and not to be approved for bathing.
Finality reached for a temporary Court of Petty Sessions in St George. Kogarah Council heard that the Minister for Justice approved the use of the large upstairs room as the court and the adjoining room as an office for £1 weekly. Use of the downstairs room when crowded, dais and fittings, and removal of shelving were approved conditions. The School of Arts committee accepted, with early establishment anticipated.
