With powers secured, the Mayor asked the Town Clerk to prepare a postal ballot for ratepayers between Webber's road Fleet street and the railway line Forest road to decide on additional rates to cover interest and sinking funds.

Seventeenth Annual Meeting of St George Ladies Benevolent Society
The seventeenth annual meeting at the School of Arts Kogarah was chaired by Mr E G Wilson. Rev C W Willis Rev H R A Wilson and Rev W Touchell attended. The secretary reported 143 cases assisted and the treasurer noted expenditure of £169 2s 10d. Officers for the year include Patton as president Mrs Lamrock vice president and a full committee list.
