Rockdale Mayor Discusses Rail and Public Works
At the latest council meeting Alderman Ho 3 roe and Alderman Taylor M L A held talks with Mr Johnson Chief Railway Commissioner on key items. A Saywell tramway terminus resumption was referred to Public Works for survey and Crown Solicitor guidance on ownership. A Harrow road level crossing would be replaced by a subway and a passage between Lofberg’s and Astridge’s shops linked to the main road. Johnson pledged to aid funding for the passage and to consider cost shares.
