St George Triumphs 30–0 Over Balmain In Brighton Display

At Brighton on Saturday St George team beat Balmain 30 to nil in a strong display. Freeman, Griffiths, and Farr scored for St George with two goals from Griffiths and one from Farr, while Hansen and Fetherston replied for Balmain. The match featured sharp back play, fast rushes, and notable saves by Allen. The Second team also performed well while adjustments aimed at strengthening the first eleven are noted for today’s games. Eastern Suburbs meet St George at Brighton Oval with high hopes, and the Second team faces University.

Rockdale Council Simplifies Building Plans and Shares Works

Rockdale Council will require one set of building plans stamped and kept on site for inspection. The Public Works Department will study widening Cook's River road including a new culvert and flood gates at an estimated cost. Alderman Beehag opposes the expense.
