Pine Falls Pony League windup honored at Fort Alexander
Sixty Pine Falls Pony League players attended a closing night at the Fort Alexander Mission Recreation Hall featuring a dinner, a school tour, and the screening of The Babe Ruth Story. Charlie Courchene received the Hudson's Bay Cup from league president Charlie Fredericke after Fort Alexander defeated Maroons 6-2 and 10-6 to win the title. Father Plamondon praised the boys’ improved conduct and thanked league officials and friends from Pine Falls for a memorable evening.

The Pine Falls Women's Hospital Auxiliary holds its first fall meeting at the Chateau on September 2. Officers for 1954 55 are elected led by President Mrs K I Johnson and Secretary Mrs J Bailey. Delegates to the Winnipeg Provincial convention are Mrs Rigg and Mrs Johnson with Mrs Krueger as alternate. The next meeting is November 1 at the Chateau.
