Great Falls resident Sinnock returned home after three months running the big power plant at Kelsey. His wife Belle accompanied him, having visited two weeks earlier. Mentally, officials report no issues and the family plans a quiet home recovery.
Mrs Dave Morran plans to make Thompson home with Belle as travel partner to Isey. Great Falls Recreation Club sponsored a benefit dance in aid of Harry Fensemon t and Pine F helped raise a considerable amount. Bonai orchestra provided music. Harry Fensom returns home improving after hospital stay. Entertainment committee led by Joyce Ryckman and others organized lunch and events. Gittins boys return from Kelsey. Rich to enter University of Manitoba. First annual Great Falls Water Ski wind-up honors John Veats and committee with a large turnout at Anderson Hall. Lac du Bonnet orchestra entertained. social hours extended into the early morning.
Whitemouth and area news note a Sunday August 28 fast ball tournament with large attendance. Beausejour clinched the finals after teams from Selkirk and Honey Nine Lazy Nine It competed, while civic thanks were given by the club to the ladies running the booth.
Arnold Urban of Lac du Bonnet donated his public address system used throughout the show. Boat drivers included Jim Le Roye Ron Muncer and Ro McEachern. The Recreation Club ran the refreshment booth and Stan Gittins led the baseball tournament. Lac du Bonnet Lakers Ski Club guests Mia Terra Gwen Irvin Grabke Hart Brown Bob Lesko Ron Kabalukane earned standing ovation.
