Seven Sisters Fastball Tourney a Sharp Weekend Win
Seven Sisters Ball Club hosted its third annual Fastball tournament in Seven Sisters on Sunday August 25 drawing about 500 fans. Eight teams from Ladywood Beausejour Whitemouth Hungry Nine Oldenburg Lac du Bonnet Winnipeg Electric and Seven Sisters competed with Winnipeg Electric losing in an 11 inning thriller to Seven Sisters. Final games delayed by darkness and planned to resume later with local teams facing off. Umpires Bert McGibbon George Jorgenson. organizers praised volunteers and donors for refreshments parking and support. Weather praised as perfect for a successful event.

Three Men Injured in Beausejour Area Car Crash
A Sunday morning crash near Ladywood involved Joseph Tromba driving from Ladywood who lost control near a detour under construction at Cromwell and went over an embankment eight miles north of Beausejour. Passengers Mike Palamarchuk and Paul Harasym were also from Ladywood. The wrecked car was towed to Gret Singer's Garage in Beausejour. First responders were Bill Gres chuk and John Rycar.
