Sack of stones may contain evidence of ancient culture

Hanover New Hampshire a 30 pound sack of stones from Canada’s Far North may hold evidence of the Cape Dorset Eskimos culture among ancient Arctic peoples. Flint spears arrow heads and cutting tools dated up to 2000 years were found at campsites during an eight week expedition led by Prof Elmer Harp Jr and Dr Ralph E Miller financed by the American Philosophical Society and Dartmouth. They surveyed vast Arctic areas seeking relics of early stone age inhabitants and later brush camps. The team flew over 5000 miles locating campsites and potential digs between Coronation Gulf Great Bear Lake Dismal Lake and Lake Contwoyto hoping to trace Dorset influence westward to older populations across Alaska and North America.
