Hunting remains allowed on Whitewater Lake in southwestern Manitoba and Dog Lake in the Interlake except for the Dog Lake islands, which are a game bird refuge. The two lakes were designated wildlife management areas this year to regulate water conveyances by hunters, prohibiting any vehicle or watercraft use for hunting purposes.
