Mrs. Emily St. Croix aged 67 died Thursday at Pine Falls hospital after a long illness. Funeral held Saturday at St. Therese church. Born in Quebec she resided in Pine Falls since 1928 after living at Lac du Bonnet. Survived by four daughters seven sons. husband predeceased in January. Interment in Pine Falls cemetery.
The new Canadian National station at Pine Falls began operations for the first time on Monday November 3.

Mesdames Antosh Halicki and L Szajewski hosted a wedding shower in St Marys parish hall Beausejour October 29 for Miss Jean Szajewski. About 75 guests attended. Gifts included a dinner set a coffee percolator and aluminum kitchenware. Mr and Mrs Buttzman entertained with musical selections during the evening.
Hallowe en events at Great Falls include a Thursday masquerade dance in Anderson Hall with the Silver Tone Seven providing music. Prizes awarded for costumes to locals Kenneth Texmo Mrs W Fraser and Carl Peterson among others. A Friday October 31 children party hosted by Kroeker featured fancy costumes and apples, lunch and candy.
