Pine Falls Studio Club Recital Delights Local Audience
The Pine Falls Piano Studio Club led by Miss Dorothy He Green held its final season meeting at Mr and Mrs W C Harrison on May 6. Twelve parents attended to hear visiting artist Mrs A Askin. Students performed solos and duets including Margaret Coubrough Wayne Dansereau Noel Frayne Gordon Harrison Bill Heinkel and others. Heather White sang Grasshopper Green and all left with refreshments and thanks to the Harrison couple.

Recreation Body Holds Annual Meet
The Pine Falls recreation association held its annual meeting in the recreation hall on Tuesday night. President W. Macdonald reviewed the year’s work on skating and hockey, Teen Canteen, Little League and juvenile baseball, square dancing and proposed roster skating, with discussion on extending the arena, curling clubroom, and pool improvements. The constitution was read and adopted. Officers for the coming year were elected: president W. Macdonald, vice-president Fred Harrison, secretary Ed Randall, treasurer B. Campbell, auditors Don Reid and Charlie Frederick.

The Royal Bank of Canada has bought the Beausejour United church property for a new bank building. Construction will begin after the church is moved near the Masonic Temple. The 36 by 70 foot stucco brick structure will feature bright street facing windows, modern counters, rear vaults, private cubicles for safety boxes, staff facilities, acoustic tile ceilings, fluorescent lights, and oil fired heating.
