Bridal shower honors Mary Leith Campbell in Community Hall
Mary Leith Campbell was guest of honour at a bridal shower in the Community Hall. Feb 26 guests included gaffes by Calverley Pryzniuk and Harper and a doll bridal party by Crusaders. A weekend trip netted relatives and a Winnipeg visit left several families planning further travel. A Bissett hockey game saw Bissett Senior edge Powerview 8 to 4.

A Social Hall dance on Friday Feb 22 featuring Art Young and the Hometown Jamboree Boys drew a capacity crowd until 2 a.m. A longtime Grand Marais resident, Mrs Sarah Branson, 84, died in a Winnipeg hospital and was buried here last Tuesday. She is remembered as a kind and cheerful helper to many.
