Two eastern Manitoba residents drowned over the weekend in separate accidents. Jean Pierre Davidson, 20, of Lac du Bonnet, died around 2:30 a.m. Saturday while swimming at the Fred Gauer residence pool. His mother and sister were away in the southern states. R.C.M.P. are investigating. Richard Pereux, 16, of Powerview, drowned Sunday evening at the St. George beach area while swimming with a friend near a dock to a log boom. Pereux was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Pereux.

Manitoba invites all fluid and industrial milk producers to enter the 1972 Dairy Farm Beautification Competition. Farms are judged this summer on milk house grounds barn and overall appearance with emphasis on neatness and cleanliness. Top 15 receive finalist certificates and a trophy is awarded at the February 1973 Dairy Convention.
