Philip Parkes 84 of Lac du Bonnet Manitoba died January 15 1972 at Deer Lodge Hospital after a long life that began in Birmingham England on April 12 1887 He worked with railways in Brandon and Port Arthur and owned Hill 60 Wrecking Yard in East Kildonan He served in the British Expeditionary Forces and the RCS C in World Wars I and II Survived by four sons three daughters and many grandchildren Memorials go to St Johns Anglican Lac du Bonnet Funeral held January 18 at St Johns Anglican conducted by Canon J Whitford with burial in Lac du Bonnet Cemetery Russell Funeral Home in Beausejour in charge of arrangements
