A special Beau sejour Chamber of Commerce meeting in the Town hall on Monday January 17 rejected joining a three day Beau sejour and district exhibition for 1949. The body instead backed Brokenhead Agricultural Society support for its 1949 Fair Day and decided to hold a Farmers Day on June 15. The next meeting is set for February 7.

A saw mill will be erected, lumber prepared on site, roads and links to the highway built, and camp construction will begin immediately.
