Beausejour Water Plan Backed by Selkirk Health Unit
Selkirk Health Unit urges Beausejour voters to approve a townwide sewerage and waterworks system citing health benefits and disease prevention. It notes Beausejour risks contamination from old privies and septic systems, and contrasts with Emerson Morden Boissevain Killarney Swan River Virden Russell Lac du Bonnet Steinbach where towns already adopted such facilities. The advisory argues central water source and disposal under government supervision protect water quality, support growth, and align Beausejour with Manitoba peers.
