A compiled schedule lists each group with monthly or weekly meeting times. Anglic an Women’s Auxiliary meets first Monday at 8 30 p m while Town Council gathers second Monday at 7 30 p m at the municipal hall. Memorial Centre hosts third Monday at 8 p m. Memorial Board of Trade on first Tuesday at 7 p m at Casey’s Inn. Municipal Council Meetings run first Tuesday from 10 a m to 5 p m in the council chambers. Home and School Association meets second Tuesday at 8 p m at the school, Women’s Auxiliary C L on third Tuesday at 8 30 p m in the legion hall. Civil Service Association meets first Thursday at 8 p m in the Air Service building. Canadian Legion holds second Thursday at 8 p m in the Legion. Wolf Cubs meet Monday weekly. Fraternity Neighboring on first Friday. Beausejour and Pine Falls on second Friday. Agricultural Society and Badminton Club also listed with times. Pine Falls Carnival Opens New Recreation Centre
The ninth annual Pine Falls Winter Club carnival was held February 20 and 21 at the new recreation centre. The event featured the unveiling of a memorial plaque by D. W. Ambridge and a carnival queen crowned by Ambridge, with 33 acts and over 150 skaters. The program, produced by Jerry T. Carey, honored town builders and local club members, with gifts and awards presented by R. E. Hayes and Henry Halpin.

Pointe du Bois Cubs and Scouts Host Joint Parents Night
Pointe du Bois Boy Scouts and Wolf Cubs held a 7 p.m. Parents Night in the Community hall. Cubmaster L P Roscoe and Miss Ann Cross directed a Wolf Cub Promise and Law demonstration. Scoutmaster N MacTaggart presented King's Scout badges to Chester Storseth and Tom Atkin. Mrs C A Anderson received the Thanks badge for supplying Colours. L T Barrett provided projectors for films from the First Canadian Scout Jamboree. Refreshments were by the Cub Scout Mothers auxiliary.

Mayor To Represent Beausejour On Industrial Development
Beausejour Town Council at its February 14 meeting appointed O. Russell as the town’s representative on the Industrial Development Board. J. P. Wilgosh was named needs inspector, dog tax collector and nuisance ground caretaker for 1950. A capital levy payment to the Hospital Board was approved. Wm. Shuster served as a single delegate seeking payment on a Halloween party bill. Dog tax rates were set at $1 for male dogs and $5 for female dogs.

Obituary of Jacob Lysecki Elma Pioneer Passes Away
Jacob Lysecki aged 77 of Elma Manitoba died Monday February 27 at Grace hospital after a three month illness. He was buried in Elma Greek Catholic cemetery with Mordue Bros. funeral home in charge. A Polish immigrant, he arrived in 1695 and settled near Beausejour Ladywood where his four eldest children were born before moving in 1908 to a farm adjacent to Elma.
