The school children enjoyed a two day holiday as teachers held a convention Thursday and Friday. Many students were home with mumps and mssles, and the school remains short. Mrs A Kinghorn and Mrs R Picard hosted a miscellaneous shower for Mrs Linda Porter at Mrs F King’s home with about 24 guests and a mock wedding. Birthday greetings to Mrs Al Primmett and Miss Kathy Morton. The 4 H club met with Miss Anderson as guest speaker. Whitemouth Collegiate curling teams won the bonspiel, while Mrs Mark Reid left to join a Pine Falls rink for a warden’s bonspiel. Two rinks will play in Renumi this weekend, skippered by Gord Klapprat and Beh Mundt.

Round Our School Faces Strong Showings in Winter Meet
Our Collegiate team sent two rinks to the North Eastern Bonsgpiel at Beause jour on February 20. Neil Campbell and Bruce Chapman led to semi finals. both lost in the third round to King of Whitemouth and MacDonell of Pine Falls. Our soccer team beat Pine Falls for the second time. Senior girls volleyball defeated Pine Falls two games to one. junior girls also won.
