Mrs Maria Ptasnik aged 71 of Beausejour died at her home on January 28 after a long illness. Funeral service was held January 30 at the Polish National Church Beausejour with burial in Beausejour cemetery. Renshaw funeral home handled arrangements. Pallbearers were G Ewescyn, Stanley Gronius, Peter Hiady and her son Martin Ptasnik. She is survived by three sons Joe and Martin of Toronto Bert of Hamilton and one daughter Mrs Anne Hiady of Beausejour.

Born in Poland May 10 1887 she came to Canada 40 years ago and is survived by two sons Edward Beausejour and Stanley BC and three daughters Mrs M Dubas Winnipeg Mrs S Decemberini Trail BC Mrs A L Holmes Winnipeg and seven grandchildren. Burial followed in the local cemetery with Renshaw funeral home in charge.
