Power Dams Compared To Nuclear Center Pollution
Mr Gray argued that Manitoba power dams release more radioactivity into the Red River than the Whiteshell Nuclear Research Centre and said Chalk River operates with safety well above drinking water limits. He cited that pollution only comes from accidents and noted no waste entered the river at Chalk River despite air pollution at the infant site. He praised the safety record of Canadian Nuclear Stations as continually tested and minimal. Fish from the river remain edible.
