Lac du Bonnet Club Booster Night December 16
Lac du Bonnet skating rink and hockey club host Booster Night on December 16 with a Lac du Bonnet Intermediates versus Powerview game at 7 30 followed by a dance at Memorial hall. Pine Falls seven piece orchestra provides music and Cana dian Legion ladies auxiliary runs refreshments. The Legion’s Lac du Bonnet branch sponsors the rink and team led by coach Norm McCoy. The club aims to bring the cup back this year. Skating is available four evenings weekly and daily 3 30 to 5 30, season tickets priced at 2 dollars for adults and 1 dollar for students, sold at the school and Roy’s Food Store. Congratulations to Warner Spence on preparing the rink.

The Women s Association of Pine Falls United church held the annual bazaar in the Chateau on Thursday November 30 at 8 p m Mrs R Gretsinger president declared the bazaar opened and buyers sought bargains A display of ladies work was offered under Mrs H Rowe and Mrs J Huhn Tea was served by Mrs K I Johnson Bake sale by Mrs H Dunfield Fish pond run by Mrs J Anderson and jar guess by Mrs E Manson Lesley Gretsinger guessed 50 and won a doll donated by Mrs M Mills Ross Halpin won the association s doll The C G LT girls helped at the white elephant table The treasurer Mrs M Christie managed finances The hall was decorated with Christmas streamers creating a festive setting for the bazaar.
