Pine Falls Community Badminton Club Opens Season
The Pine Falls Badminton Club held its first general meeting at the Chateau on November 29 with about 15 members. Pte Keith Brown is on two week leave with his parents. Marianne Sunde arrived from Norway and will join family in Winnipeg then New York aboard Queen Elizabeth December 6. Family thanks extended for sympathy and hospital care during Mrs W French's illness and passing.

Mince Pudding for Ladies With Quick Mincemeat Filling
This recipe yields a luscious pudding that uses extra mincemeat and a thin drop batter. Grease a mould, line with almonds, spread mincemeat, fill two thirds, steam over rapid boil for about 1 3 4 hours, then turn out and serve hot with sauce. Six servings.
Egg Plant Creole
Melt fat in a pan then cook green pepper and onion briefly. Add eggplant and steam covered about 5 minutes. Stir in peeled chopped tomatoes and cook uncovered until tender about 15 minutes. Season to taste. Makes six servings.
