Rosemary Lyons Weds Campbell Reid At Pine Falls Church

Rosemary Margaret Lyons daughter of Mr and Mrs Jim Lyons married Campbell Mark Reid son of Mr and Mrs Reid of Great Falls Manitoba at Pine Falls United Church on July 23. The bride wore a white satin gown with a sheer net veil and carried American Beauty roses. The ceremony included Barbara Aseltine as bridesmaid, Brenda Miller as flower girl and John Stewart as best man. After a Chateau hall reception, the couple honeymooned in Kenora and Winnipeg Beach and will reside in Great Falls.

Scandinavian film and choir draw big Seven Sisters crowd

A large audience attended a Scandinavian program at Seven Sisters Auditorium featuring films from Sweden Norway and Denmark and a Winnipeg Scandinavian Male Voice Choir concert conducted by Mr Anderson. The event included accordion and violin numbers, Danish anthem music, dancing, and a hospital fund benefiting White Mouth Hospital.

Gale Whitemouth Field Day Boosts Hospital Fund

Gale Whitemouth hosts a July 30 field day and picnic at the community ground to raise funds for the hospital. Funeral services for Mayo Posaluko two months old and son of Mr and Mrs Steve Posaluko of Thalberg were held at 11 am Saturday July 23 at Thalberg Ukrainian church. Burial followed in Thalberg cemetery with Renshaw Funeral Home Beausejour in charge.

The bride wore a lace edged fitted bodice with a lace yoke and lily point sleeves. Her veil was lace edged with a lace Juliet cap and she carried red roses. Bridesmaid Irene Keilback wore a blue net and brocaded satin ensemble with pink roses, while flower girl Mary Komadowski carried pink taffeta and sweet peas. Best man was Charles Keilback. A family reception followed at the Marlborough hotel. The couple planned a Rivers honeymoon and will reside in Winnipeg.

Motorcycle and Car Collision Near Mud Falls

A head-on crash occurred Saturday at 2 30 a m near Mud Falls involving a car owned by Philip Bouthelier and a motorcycle owned by Lorne Paseluko. Both were taken to Pine Falls hospital. Paseluko suffered multiple injuries. Police investigated the incident. Others in the car were Miss Terry Richards Emile Le Page and an unidentified person.
