Ron Turner Minister of Industry and Commerce. 1953 revenue rose by 11.5 million over 1952 and 1954 enquiries to March 31 totaled 16 750, up over 3 000 from 1953, with months showing strong gains. About 850 000 tourists entered Manitoba in 1953, primarily from the United States and other Canadian provinces.

Seven Sisters Guild to Sponsor May Variety Show

Former Brokenhead Resident Dies on West Coast at Vancouver
William A. Black, longtime Brokenhead civic official and former storekeeper and farmer, died in Vancouver on April 18 while his Ireland birth in 1876 and arrival in Beausejour around 1900 are noted. Survived by wife, three sons Harry, Robert, Frank. daughter Mrs Anne Johnson. one brother and two sisters. 17 grandchildren. daughter Winnie predeceased.
