Farmers warned of Trudeau plan crippling Western agriculture
Manitoba farmers voice strong opposition to federal policies they say threaten family farms. They accuse Olson Lang and Lang of pursuing a plan to bankrupt 50 percent of Western Canadian farmers within a year, pushing consolidation into corporate farming, higher food costs, and dependence on imported goods. They urge political change and highlight farm income insecurity and plummeting land values. The piece cites grants to industry vs farmers and calls New Democratic Party the sole party caring for agriculture.
