Highway Plan Aims to Link Manigotogan to Interior Areas
Manitoba discusses a wide highway plan with Manigotogan to Pine Falls and Gull Lake routes, opening 30 townships to year round truck transport. The Pine Falls bridge on the Winnipeg River will be the first in 35 miles, with $150,000 legislated, awaiting traffic next year. The plan foresees Beausejour to Grand Beach and Zhoda to Minnesota borders, plus Whitemouth to Hadashville, with several re-locations to improve routes to power plants and farming districts.
