7 Those who went to Beatrice last Thursday determined to witness a ball game between the House of/David club and the Kansas City Monarks, a colored team, were badly disappointed so far as the ball game was con-cerned. About 1:00 it began to rain, not too much, but plenty to spoil i ball game. Several cars from Diller went early. Some started but gave it up and returned home. One truck load of folks got caught in the rain, and did they get wet? The Fox theatre got th§ benefit of the situation, as the next best thing to see was the show, and they had a good show. A game be tween the House of David and the Beatrice Blues was arranged for this Thursday; evening, but as that is our press time we can not report it.
